## Description
Harlowe Roddan's first memories are of the cool, damp walls of Whisperholm, one of the many familial dwarven settlements hidden within the myriad crevices of the Ironwalls in eastern Vastuum. Born in such a harsh environment, Harlowe learned from a young age on the value of hard work and careful planning.
At the age of 60, still young for a dwarf, Harlowe left Whisperholm to seek his fortune. For decades he wandered the deserts, learning the ways of the trade caravans and oasis settlements, such as Kald/Locations/Cities/Edu. His mind was that of a logician, which often put him at odds with more superstitious travelers, but his resourcefulness was undeniable.
Harlowe first arrived in Sandfall nearly 140 years ago and quickly fell in love with the shade provided by The Altar—Vastuum's largest plateau. Over the years, his community ties and love for the city would see the long time Steward—Miin Solmor—select Harlowe as her replacement as Sandfall's secular leader.
Over the decades, Harlowe's pragmatic approach to governance and development played a crucial role in Sandfall's transformation from shady respite to thriving desert town. His insistence on fostering a community of culture beyond religion often clashed with the more esoteric beliefs of the Argentyne Order, but the benefits to the community would always speak for themselves.
Today, at the venerable age of 216, Steward Harlowe Roddan continues to advocate for a fact-based, logical approach to Sandfall's challenges. His frequent disagreements with Resonant Zahala stem not from a lack of respect for tradition, but from a deep-seated belief that the harsh realities of desert life demand practical solutions over mystical interpretations.
