![[Vila_Drelev.png]] # Description The Scarlets are all-female troops raised by the ancient Eil, organized and deployed into several line infantry regiments within the [[New Borden Army]]. Their creation was prompted in part by the continual shortage in manpower that plagued the realm during the Demon Wars. The difficult campaign to reach the [[Gath|Gathakanathi Highlands]] had drained what remained of the Eilmyan Army, and there were scant men of military age remaining to replace casualties and expand the army. Today, the Scarlets are among the finest soldiers in Kald, though they now answer to no king or queen.
