Legend states that the Scaleblades were forged from the scales of the [[Dragons|dragon]] [[Aurax]]. Known also as the Golden Lyrist, Aurax was a gold [[Dragons|dragon]] whose scales shimmered like sunlight and whose voice was said to call the stars from the sky. Prior to his death, Aurax sought out Demersi in the final days of the [[Demon Wars]] and asked him to forge the blades. Legend tells that in an act of profound sacrifice, Aurax allowed Kellen to harvest seven of his golden scales - each one vibrating a unique note of the dragon's heartsung melody. For seven months, Kellen worked tirelessly. The forge master had shared recounts of his tools moving in perfect rhythm with Aurax's song as he worked. As dawn broke on the eighth day of the seventh month, the seven blades emerged, each one a conduit of Aurax's bardic magic and Kellen's unparalleled craftsmanship. The Scaleblades were not mere weapons, but instruments of cosmic harmony. Unbreakable and ever-sharp, they resonated with an inner music that only their wielders could truly hear. # List of Blades ## Dawnseeker > Blade of inspiration Previously kept by Olivar Levandi, the blade was unexpectedly broken 500 years ago during the [[Burning of the Year]] festival in [[Milden]], [[Old Thalnor]]. The top half of the blade was saved by local residents, while the bottom half was escorted to [[Eilanthar]]. Unfortunately, the escort party went missing and the lower half of the Scaleblade was never discovered. ## Pride > Blade of humility and understanding Contrary to its name, Pride is the blade of diplomacy and peace, and embodies humility and understanding.
